of M. Cooper, the Director of Public Works, who has lately returned to resume his duties in the colony.
2. As the result of the consultations it is understood that Lord Rijn hopes that the Lords of the Admiralty would raise no further objection to the completion of the proposed road realignment extension in question, provided that the scheme includes a swingbridge, a pier connected with the Naval Yard by a subway under the new road, and facilities for wharfage accommodation by which vessels will be enabled to lie alongside the sea wall against the Naval Yard.
